The unplugged Project
A monthly, analog and collective photographic practice.
No screens. No urgency. No promised outcome.
One disposable camera per month.
27 exposures.
A shared rhythm.
FOR WHO
This project is for photographers and image-makers
who want to slow down.
For those curious about analog processes,
or simply tired of constant digital feedback.
You do not need a concept.
You do not need a goal.
Only attention.
And a willingness to stay.
Where it begins
During our journey in search of La Frontera Del Viento, something shifted.
Not so much in the images themselves, but in how they appeared.
Disposable cameras simple, unambitious, seemed to deactivate something:
over-planning, constant correction, the need to control the result.
Within those 27 frames, another way of being with the camera emerged.
More attentive than precise.
Closer to gesture than to decision.
A kind of photography that does not rush ahead of itself.
WhAT THIS PROJECT IS
Continuity over urgency
It is a space for continuity.
And for stepping away from hyper-digital connection.
A quiet resistance
Letting go of what we are supposed to do,
to make space for what we want to do.
A clear timeframe
A month to photograph.
Time enough to stay present.
Photography as attention
Photography as note-taking.
As walking. As attention.
How it works
You shoot during the month, freely, from wherever you are.
By the 15th of the following month, you send the scans of your developed film to:
editors@wearedoublepage.com (via WeTransfer)
Each month, Doublepage edits a collective portfolio with all participants’ images.
Every three months, we open moments of conversation:
image readings, shared reflections and feedback.
